We know a sense of belonging is key for students to flourish in a learning environment. For us to foster a community of learners who share, collaborate, and lead in a safe space, we have developed a course of interest-based online classes for our Year 0-10 students, combining synchronous and asynchronous learning. Student ‘voice’ and ‘choice’ are key elements with these optional classes being crafted and adjusted in response to the interests of students. Content and delivery is differentiated to allow students of all ages and abilities to work together, strengthening their sense of connection and belonging.
